The Yorkshire Event Centre is on the cusp of the spa town of Harrogate while being surrounded by countryside.
Just 2 miles from Harrogate Train Station, 13 miles from Leeds Bradford Airport and a stone's throw from the A1
There are over 2000 free parking spaces in the grounds. These are all on a first come first served basis and cannot be booked in advance.
There are disabled access parking spaces specifically for blue badge holders. These are located close to the entrance. Spaces are available on a strictly first come, first served basis.
HOW TO GET HERE
Yorkshire Event Centre, Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate HG2 8QZ
Harrogate is located midway between Leeds and York, with regular commuter train services on the local line.
We are about 2 miles from Harrogate train station, where taxis and buses are available to complete your journey.
Hornbeam Park station is about 1.5 miles from us, but there are no taxis available at this station without pre-booking. The station is connected to the YEC by a Showground Greenway so if you’d prefer a short walk or cycle, directions are here.
Local bus routes No. 70 and 71. The best stop to use is Woodlands Corner.
Once you’ve alighted, walk down Hookstone Drive and then turn left down Hookstone Wood Road. Follow the road around to the right, which will bring you out by the YEC.

HARROGATE CARAVAN PARK
Within the Great Yorkshire Showground is the Harrogate Caravan Park.
Overlooking the beautiful Crimple Valley, they have 67 generously sized pitches that are a mixture of grass and hard standing so can accommodate caravans, motorhomes and tents.

KEEP OUR PARK GREEN & CLEAN
All profits from the YEC fund the work of their chairty the Yorkshire Agricultural Society (YAS). The YAS aims to unite rural life in Yorkshire with leadership, commitment, passion and creativity.
Solar Panels - 960 large solar panels on site reduce grid energy usage.
Venue Lighting - 953 LED lights installed throughout the venue help to reduce energy consumption
Toilets - Toilet doors and vanity units are made from recycled plastic bottles. They not only look great but are also award winning!
Water - water is sourced from an onsite spring via a borehole, all processed and run through an onside pump house.
Catering - Ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible. Leftover food is donated to the Harrogate Homeless Project.
The Yorkshire Event Centre is situated in 250 acres of green space. This is not only used for events but through the work of YAS they also run free educational workshops for local schools and CPD training courses on the importance of the environment, creating a sustainable landscape and supporting natural wildlife.
